RE: Winterizing

When winterizing I just ignore the manual and follow my own system. It's a very simple and effective system. In December I hook up the fiver and take it to Florida, in late March or early April I bring it back home. No problem! Try it, you'll like it.
I like your system. Someday DW and I are going to try it.:)

RE: An Alternative To Tire Covers? (Something less expensive)

DW is a wizz at a sewing machine. She made ours from Sunbrella fabric she found at a fabric store. She popped a couple grommets at the bottom so they can be held in place with a bungie cord behind the tire. They work great at blocking the suns rays yet breath to allow air flow.

RE: Jayco black tank rinser???

Sometimes we close the black tank valve for a couple minutes when using our Jayco black tank flush. Not enough time to overflow the tank, but allows for water to build up a little and give it that extra 'whoosh' to get any stubborn TP out.

RE: HTT Shopping Today & Have a QUESTION??

First, congratulations for having the good sense to look over a possible candidate for purchase as well as you're doing. No salesperson should stop you from doing so. Be even more thorough when you take delivery of any unit you decide to purchase.
Now for your bunk end question. The 'canvas' it tucked into a channel on the top and sides. The only way you get water inside is if the seal is poorly constructed or defective. We had our HTT for 2 1/2 years and it saw its fair share of rain. Not once did we experience any infiltration of water, anywhere. As long as your doing your homework, why not visit a model you're condidering with the bunkends open on the lot when it's raining, not in the showroom, and see for yourself where the rain run off to.

RE: Leveling travel trailer for storage

Won't hurt a bit. Many folks even store theirs tilted forward or backward slightly to promote water run-off from the roof.
Me too.

Bring receiver/DVD player in during winter?

When we had our popup and hybrid travel trailer I never thought twice about bringing the radio/CD/DVD player in the house during winter storage as they were screwed into the face of one of the upper cabinets. Never had a problem with either one. The one in our TT isn't mounted so I'm thinking about getting it inside during the winter. But with the limited access to all the 5.1 speaker wires I'm wondering if it's really necessary.

RE: traveling with items in fridge

Those pool/swimming noodles can be cut very easily and positioned to keep things from sliding aroung in the fridge while on the road.

RE: Plugging in and water heater questions

Using the adaptor at home is fine for precooling your fridge on electric before you leave on a trip. Also OK to run things like your interior lights, or plugging in a vaccuum to clean it after you return from a trip. Your AC will require a 30 AMP receptacle, so don't try running it using the adaptor.
